Before I post the official response memo of EDGE Manufacturing to the COVID-19 pandemic allow me to reemphasize that although we are all sailing uncharted waters, this too shall pass. When I first heard of the Corona Virus back in late December it caught my attention having a medical field background. It was at that time I decided, “If this thing gains traction I intend, God willing, to come out the other side with my honor and integrity intact. I will show my wife and children strength, patience and love. I will show my employer loyalty. I will show my family, friends and community the love of Christ.” To paraphrase C.S. Lewis; If it comes, and it is coming, let it find us praying, working, teaching, playing with our children or chatting with our friends over a pint; not huddled together like frightened sheep in the dark.
And what happens when COVID-19 is in the rear view window and the #HASHTAGS begin to fade? I intend to maintain that honor and integrity knowing that there is a God above watching an earth below and He can be trusted. Our prayers are with you all and may God bless and protect us through these unprecedented times.
As of March 23rd, 2020 Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has issued a mandatory state-wide stay-at-home order. This order includes, but is not limited to, all non-essential places of work. EDGE Manufacturing is categorized as an “Essential Business” due to our direct product supply and service to the following industries.
- Food & Agriculture Supply Chain, Shipping & Logistics 3. Waste & Water
- Government & Defense. 5. Health & Medical
As such, EDGE Manufacturing will continue to operate as an “Essential Business” as is detailed in the governor’s exemption criteria. However, the health and safety of our customers and employees is paramount and as such, we will be running a reduced work force until state and local authorities remove current restrictions.
We would like to thank our employees for their dedicated service and patience. We would like to extend our gratitude to our customers for their loyalty and understanding during these turbulent times. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers as long as this pandemic is in effect.
