If 2020 taught us anything it was that good ol’ fashion American ingenuity and innovation is alive and well. We were forced to adapt, to improvise, to overcome. For those of us who only get to eat what we kill, it was adapt or perish. I had a front row seat to the tenacity of the American manufacturer and it was a sight to behold! I conferenced with dozens of customers through 2020 right up to present day and strategized on how we could outthink a virus, outmaneuver global lockdowns and outlast global competition . One of the ways we were able to do this is through efficiency in material handling. When you do a deep dive into the ROI (return on investment) you quickly learn that when you handle parts and materials less the results are often staggering. As you can see in the second thumbnail for this article, simply numbering your containers can make identification quick and easy. This all translates into saved time and saved money. Every successful business needs to be able to flow seamlessly like water in order to navigate these very unpredictable times.

Bruce Lee said it best, “Be formless, shapeless, like water. You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.” (emphasis added)

So give me a call or shoot me an email and let me take a look at your current process today. Together we can find the most efficient way for your products to flow through your system and increase that profit margin even more!
